Description

Our Blue Light Blockers in Brown. Our blue light computer glasses take pressure off your eyes. Essential PPE for if you work after dark on the computer.

  • The "Digital Eye Strain" Buffer: Staring at screens all day leads to Computer Vision Syndrome. Blue light glasses have a slight tint or coating that filters out the high-energy visible (HEV) light. Users often report fewer headaches and less of that "gritty" feeling in their eyes by 5:00 PM.

  • Melatonin Protection: This is the big one. Blue light mimics sunlight, telling your brain to stop producing melatonin (the sleep hormone). Wearing these in the evening helps "trick" your brain into realizing it’s actually nighttime, making it easier to fall asleep after a late-night coding or Netflix session.

By filtering out the "fuzzier" blue wavelengths, these glasses can actually sharpen the contrast on your screen. This means your eye muscles don't have to work quite as hard to focus on text

Common FAQs

How are they different to normal glasses?

Normal glasses are designed to be as clear as possible to let all light through. Blue light glasses have a surface vacuum coating that specifically reflects short-wavelength blue light.

How do they detect LED Light?

Normal glasses (unless they are sunglasses) generally don't block HEV light. Blue light glasses are specifically rated to block between 20% and 90% of the 415–455nm range of light—the specific spike that comes from LED screens and smartphone displays.

How long will they last?

The coating that filters out the blue light usually lasts between 2-5 years. If you want the coating to last up to 5, avoid wiping them clean with your shirt (cotton acts like sandpaper) and don't leave them on the windscreen of your car in the sun, for example.

Do they replace prescription glasses?

No, a blue light filter does not act like a prescription to assist those who need help with sight
